I saw this idea and changed it up a bit - love the poinsettas! We did this card at our club meeting last week.
Stamp Set: Patterned Pines (Hostess Leve 1 Holiday Mini 2009, page 4), Christmas Punch (Level 2 Hostess set, 115366, page 14)
Card Stock: Garden Green, Whisper White, Real Red
Ink: Real Red
Embellishments: Ribbon Originals Mistletoe (116792, Holiday Mini 2009, page 33), Gold Brads (104337, page 179)
Big Shot: Petals-A-Plenty Embossing Textured Impressions Folder (116824, Holiday Mini 2009, page 21)
Punches: Scallop Edge (112091, page 186), Scallop Oval (114889, page 186), Large Oval (107305, page 186) Small Oval (107304, page 186), 5-Petal Flower (109041, page 186)
We first ran the 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Real Red through the Big Shot with the Petals-A-Plenty Textured Impressions Folder
We then cut out the white scallop background for the flower using a 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" piece of Whisper White and lining up each side centered on the Scallop Edge Punch. Lining up each side equally gives a wonderful "window" effect.
We then cut each flower petal out - and then scored each petal across and gently folded the petals. We then used the paper piercing tool (116631, page 191) and the mat pack's paper piercing pad (105826, page 191) to poke the holes for the gold brads.
For the sentiment, we stamped using the Scallop Circle stamp from Christmas Punch set. First we used a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker to color the center poinsetta and then cut it out with the small oval punch. Then cut a large red oval. And then stamped the stamp again on Whisper White and cut out with the Scallop Oval punch. I didn't want the words "a gift for you - Merry Christmas", so we covered that up with the large red oval.
