We had our September Club meeting last Saturday, Sept 19th. We had a great time. I want to share the projects we made and the demos I showed.
First I will start with our chocolate/coffee project. Most of us like chocolate....and coffee....and men....and our Sip by Sip stamp set has a stamp that is "Chocolate, Coffee, Men....some things are better rich!! LOL
Here's the card
Stamp Set: Sip by Sip (currently on the Dormant List 113403, page 51 2009 Spring-Summer Idea Book & Catalog)
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker
Embellishments: Treat Cups (116802, page 7 Holiday Mini 2009), Chocolate Chip 5/8*' Grosgrain Ribbon
Punch: Scallop Edge (112091, page 186), Horizontal Slot (105089, page 186), 1 3/4" Circle (112004, page 186)
We used the new Treat Cups from the Holiday Mini - these are SO fun. So that your recipient doesn't destroy the card, you can score a piece of paper to fit over the back of the treat cup and then the candy can be eaten. I use Sticky Tape to tape down this piece, so it doesn't come off. Stampin' Up also sells padded envelopes for mailing these Sweet Treat Cups ( (116911, page 7 Holiday Mini - they are 3 for $2.95)
I also have a great tip for adding ribbon through your card.
Here's a picture
I used the horizontal slot punch and punched with 1/2 a punch right through the crease on the top of the card - then threaded my ribbon through and tied it on front. We also just used part of the saying, so I colored the sentiment with my Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker and stamped it on the front of my card
Stay tuned for more treat cup cards over the next couple of days
