Valentine’s Cards and Treat Holders
Over the course of the next few days I want to share Valentine's ideas. I have had such fun making them and I hope you enjoy seeing them.
I LOVE treat holders – they are so fun to make and give and every year I send them to my children and grandchildren. This year will be no different, and I have a few different ideas.
First is this cute little Valentine Mail Box – I shared this with my club members last week and ended up making enough so everyone was able to take one home!!

I've seen a few of these treat holders, but they weren't to my liking, so I built on a few other ones and figured out my own measurements. It's holds two Hershey's Nuggets.
I found this cute little box on Crafty Caroline's blog and just had to make it (or I should same "them")
Yep ended up making 4 in just a few minutes
Here's a quick tutorial with measurements and pictures
Start with a piece of Whisper White card stock 5" x 4 1/4"
Score with the 5" side at the top of the scoring board at 1 1/2" , 2 1/4", 3 3/4", 4 1/2"
Turn and score on the 4 1/4" side at 3/4", 3", 3 3/4"
Burnish all the scoring lines
On the 5" side cut up to the 3/4" score line – cut off the corner piece
On the opposite side, cut to the 2nd score line
The sections starting with the left side are #1, #2, #3, #4 and #5
Cut off the 3/4" piece on the left side section #1
Section #2 cut off at the first score line
Leave Section #3 as it is
Section #4 cut off at the first score line
Section #5 cut off the entire end section to the 2nd score line
It should look like this now – it's turned over
Section #3 – corner round – this is the closing flap
To assemble the box, add Tear & Tape to the 3/4" flap
Fold box and adhere tab
Add Tear & Tape to one long bottom flap and fold up
And your box is made
Tuck in some candy – holds 2 Hershey's Nuggets
Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 5" x 2 1/4"
Wrap this around the box starting at the half-way point on the bottom
Slightly pinch the sides and then remove and burnish with the bone folder. Add Tear & Tape and adhere
Stamp a sentiment and add some ribbon!!
DONE!!
It will be fun to send these to my grandchildren!!
