Technique Tuesday Wax Paper Resist
As part of the "Swap and Share" in Fiji a few demonstrators shared some fun techniques. I was able to share these in my Technique Tuesday class this month. The first was Wax Paper Resist. This is a very old technique, but with a new twist – shared by France Martin

Can you see the neat background – this was done with an Embossing Folder and wax paper
I'll give you the supplies and then a little tutorial
Stamp Set: Zoo Review (128769 W, 122199 C page 74); Express Yourself (Hostess Set 130336 W 130339 C, page 205)
Card Stock: Smokey Slate, Shimmery White (101910, page 154) , Basic Black
Ink: Black Stazon, Smokey Slate
Embellishment: 1/8" Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon (119261, page 173)
Big Shot: Woodgrain Embossing Folder (127821, page 190)
Other: Household Wax Paper, Brayer, Household Iron, Copy Paper
Instructions
- Cut wax paper to fit over Shimmer Paper
- Add wax paper to embossing folder and run through Big Shot
- Add Shimmer Paper to either side of embossed wax paper
- Put above between two sheets of copy paper
- Iron for about 15 seconds with the iron on the hottest setting and no water
- Brayer over embossed Shimmer Paper until desired color is added
- Rub gently with Kleenex
- You will end up with two pieces to use on your projects
- Add to project as a background!
