Poinsetta Bells and Boughs Christmas Card

Here another Christmas Card I wanted to share.  I used the "block out" technique with the Textured Impression Embossing Folder Petals-A-Plenty.  I'll explain how to do this below

Xmas1
Stamp Sets:  Bells & Boughs (WM 120831, CM 121142, page 19 Holiday Mini 2010), Snow Swirled (111690, page 40)

Card Stock:  Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White

Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker

Embellishments:  1/4" Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon (111368, page 191)

Punch:  Wide Oval (119859, page 202)

Big Shot:  Lots of Tags Sizzlit (114508, page 211), Petals-A-Plenty Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (116824, page 214)

I stamped the poinsetta flower in Staz-on and then colored with my Stampin' Write Markers

To block out part of your embossing folder, so you can stamp in the middle, you will need to purchase a wood frame from your local craft store.  You can find these frames in the wood section.  So far I have found rectangle and oval frames.

This is the sandwich to use from bottom to top

Multipurpose platform set at Tab 1

UNDER the tab put a piece of cardboard from the back of the designer series paper cut a little larger than your embossing folder

On top of the tab, place your wood frame

On top of wood frame place your embossing folder with your card stock inside

On top of the embossing folder place one acrylic pad.

To make your block out even, center your card stock inside your embossing folder and your embossing folder over the wood frame.
