ON Board Briefcase
Have you noticed the On Board Briefcase that is in the Summer Mini? for just $4.95 you get 8 pieces of natural chipboard pieces and rings to make your own book. I wanted to try something different, and so after cruising around and see what others are doing with this, I came up with a couple of ideas. Reasonable price and fun projects.
Here's a card case I made with two of the briefcase pieces
Card Stock: Bermuda Bay, Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper (115673, page 163)
Embellishments: Silk Flowers and medium half pearl from the Pretties Kit (109114, page 178), 1/2" Bermuda Bay Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon (115610, page 182)
I covered both briefcases pieces with Thoroughly Modern DSP by laying the briefcase piece down on the paper and drawing around it with a pencil and cutting it out with my paper snips. I used Stampin' Up Anywhere Glue Stick (104045, page 192) to adhere the paper to the chipboard (both sides).
I found some dimensions on Glenda's blog (not sure of her last name) for the box to hold the cards. I cut Bermuda Bay CS 8 1/2 x 9/7/8. I then scored on the 9 7/8" side at 1 3/8 and 7 1/8. On the 8 1/2" side I scored at 4 1/2 and 5 5/8. Score all side and cut up to the scoreline on the long side. Fold into a box and adhere with sticky tape. Put sticky tape on both outsides of the box and adhere to the two chipboard pieces. I will do a quick picture tutorial if you need it and will leave a comment on this post!
